Four apprentices will be reporters of record at an annual mock trial competition of four law schools. Two mock trials will take place simultaneously in the morning and afternoon in two courtrooms, with a judge presiding. In pretrial Zooms, you will meet the team and practice stating your reporter's admonition, speaking up for the record, reading back, and how to produce rough drafts. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
- Resolute, motivated, and reliable steno (machine and voice) court reporting students writing at 200+wpm, or newly licensed court reporters. Exceptions may be made for a 180 wpm student, depending on experience and motivation.
